Thank you to the 17 Old Boys who came to yesterday's AGM at Wollemi. It was great to see a variety of grades present. Special thanks goes to those who prepared the bbq.

I'd like to announce and congratulate the election of WOBA's new president, Jeremy Blades. Jezza was the school captain of the 2015 cohort, and is currently working as a Senior Education Advisor, with previous experience in law and media. He also works as a mentor at Redfield College.

We also thank Luke Pirotta for his many years as WOBA's president, as well as the members who have assisted him throughout the years. Luke will still be involved in an advisory role to help the new leadership team.

The new WOBA office bearers include Michael Kerbage as Treasurer and myself as Secretary. The three of us will work as an interim team, reaching across old boys groups to help WOBA rebuild a more connected old boys community towards the 2025 AGM.

Some short term goals discussed at yesterdays meeting include; setting up a careers panel event for the older Wollemi students, facilitating reunions and catch-ups, promoting the existing old boys sports groups, and launching a new WOBA membership website for better and more formal communications. A separate announcement will be made once that is ready.

This year is Wollemi's 25th year anniversary. In 2024, it was announced that Wollemi is at its enrolment capacity for the first time (double stream from Year 2 to 12). This is a great achievement, and it's great to see how far the school has come.
